Meredith Salenger
Salenger is a native of California and was born in Malibu. In her early years, she enjoyed being a performer in front of family and friends. Her mom took her to her first class in acting at the age of eight old. The actress played the role as "a dance and singing orphan" in John Huston's feature film Annie. Salenger was also a part of a variety of TV commercials. Salenger was first cast in The Journey of Natty Gann produced by Disney in which she was a film starring John Cusack alongside Ray Wise. The film was awarded the Moscow Film Festival's gold medal as the first movie made in America. It also won her "Best actress in a Drama" as part of the Youth in Film Awards for her role as the young Natty Gann. After appearing in four other films by the time she was just 18 such as A Night in the Life of Jimmy Reardon She left Hollywood in order to attend Harvard to continue her education.
